HughShows Blog has featured thousands of original live band photos and has conducted over 1000 musician interviews (including Brian Wilson, Mavis Staples, and Bruce Hornsby) since starting. With the original ‘First/Last’ questionnaire, you get a sense of where the musician has come from and where they are going with their artistic expression.
At the age of 15, while still in high school, Allie Farris formed her first band and begun playing small coffee shops and venues around her hometown of Flower Mound, Texas. Both originally from Detroit, the two joined forces in LA in 2012 to restart The Singles—a moniker that Vince had used in the past to release his songs with different incarnations of the band. With the help of friends on bass, the band began playing locally bringing stripped down rock n’ roll to the LA music scene. Things got serious once they met producer Rick Parker.
