This was one fun time. We met up with several friends to whoop it up and see a show. I usually get to the club early to snag a seat but decided to chill and have dinner before the concert and take my chances. It worked out perfect. As we entered the club there was one table left close enough to get a decent view for pics.

The Rustlanders came out and put on a good laid-back set. They were real nice guys from State College PA.

My buddy Joe is ga-ga over Heartless Bastards. He lent me their disc and not being immediately blown away, it sat virtually unlistened for awhile. After they were announced as openers for Wilco, I decided to give them another shot. Their unique sound (courtesy of lead singer-songwriter Erika Wennerstrom) started to grow on me. I was very close to hitting Wilco when it was announced that a week later they would be headlining Club Cafe for a fraction of the cost. Sorry Wilco, I can't afford a those $40 ticket prices anymore.

This band is fucking great! They put on a hell of a show and she is one hell of a musician. I am really looking forward to seeing this band develop and catching them again. This night turned out to be my wife's yearly bender and all she was saying that night was, "Of all the bands you see, these guys are gonna' make it big!" O.K.? Have another beer, sweetie.
