#SupportPGHMusic // Exclusively on HughShows Radio streaming at the bottom of the page, enjoy the entire December 13, 2014 concert of HughShows Live at Eide’s Finale featuring mini sets from acoustic and solo versions of my favorite Pittsburgh bands during the marathon 6 hour concert. //

The new Donora video dropped last night and this might be my favorite of theirs so far. Directed by Casey, it features the cast getting down to the most danceable track off the new album. Wait a minute, is that Jake H. bustin’ a move? Nice!

Emily was interested in some full band promo photos and I was more than happy to oblige. I really loved the museum setting. Nothing like some cool artwork as a background. If you are in a band and would like to work together, feel free to contact me at manhugh1@comcast.net!

I really do love this band. It’s no accident that the first thing you see visiting this blog is a photo of them. Even though I’ve seen them play in daylight before, it’s still so strange to see them rock out in front of sober people, me (and them) included. They are working on new material and I guarantee it’s gonna be sweet!

I have never seen these guys play. Unfortunately, we were packing up kids for an afternoon in the park and arrived on their next to last song. That’s officially the second time I missed them. Bummer, cause they sounded good. Next time fellas. More photos here

Rediscovering old photos is always fun. I stumbled upon this and wondered why I never posted it? It’s a a tad rough for sure (as was most of my stuff then) but not bad at all. This was the first time I saw Lohio play and I believe the first time I met these guys. Nice.

As many of you probably don’t know, I freelance around town for various publications and whatnot. I get other assignments besides concert photography and on this particular night I was covering an event at The GAP in Shadyside for Maniac Magazine. It just so happens that there was a band there called Silence So Loud from Ohio. I never heard of them before but they were very nice guys and sounded good considering the awkward position they were in playing as people meandered into and throughout the store. I was told later that Ben Hardt was doing a similar gig at The GAP in Robinson. Nothing against the boys from Akron but I wish I would have hit the other store instead, just because I am more familiar with Ben’s stuff. More photos here.
